Ah crap, I meant to post this a long time ago. Anyone want to go bowling tomorrow? It would have to be earliest (I need to be down at my parents at 4), but Bowl (Free) America is offering 50 cent games until 6 this weekend.

What all's happening where tonight? Catherine's got some letters and I'm around to celebrate my own outstanding achievements in greatness. I was thinking of hitting up Mr. Days before heading into the city's own ESPN Zone, then hopping on over to Glow and polishing the evening off with a frat party I heard about at GW, but I'm open to other options.

I got a promotion! No longer the lowly "Communications Coordinator," I now go by the mighty and powerful "Communications Manager/Graphic Designer." Don't be frightened as I flex my muscles of awesome! Seriously though, I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, the pay raise or the fact that "graphic designer" is finally, rightfully, in my title, giving my position a little more credibility.

Frist Breaks With Bush on Stem-Cell Bill
Okay, so how is this not hypocritical? I'm not here to pick a fight over abortion rights, I'm just here to analyze the situation. How can someone be pro-life and a "defender of unborn children," yet still support stem-cell research as long as the "the parents had decided that the embryos should be discarded, not adopted or frozen." Something doesn't seem consistent here.
It's not all that surprising that Frist is thinking about seeking the presidential nomination in 2008. This kind of thing just bugs me about politics.

I want some group shots of us for my room, preferably ones that look good black and white. Justin, are you bringing your camera to the Ren Fest? I can't think of a more perfect place to capture the complexity of our group dynamic, and your camera will take pictures that can be blown up to something larger than 8x10.

Jon and I got into a discussion about state-based driver prejudices. With a few exceptions, it seems that the hatred always swings north: Virginians hate Maryland drivers; Maryland drivers hate Pennsylvanian drivers; Rhode Islanders call their driving rivals to the north "Massholes." We speculated that North Dakotans probably hate the Canadians (seems fair enough). So who do the Canadians blame for their asphalt woes?
